Reata Description

This upscale steakhouse is about as Texas as you can get, from the decor to the ranch-fed steak to the survival story (the original site, on the 35th floor of a nearby building, was blown to smithereens by a tornado). True to Texas, children are very welcomed at this upscale eatery, with portions sized down for them and their wish is the chef's command, from toning down the fiery jalapeno and bacon macaroni and cheese to un-peppering a peppercorn filet.

Planning Notes

  • Dine on the roof, if weather permits. The mid-rise rooftop dining area offers a specatcaular view of the city sights, including the twinkling lights of Sundance Square and the occassional live music from street musicians below.
  • Phone first. Call ahead for reservations, especially from Thursday through Sunday.
