Central Market Description

A grocery store that's anything but the usual, Central Market offers families the chance to grab-and-go from a huge case of take-out, including tacos, quesadillas, pasta dishes, salads and sandwiches. Add a huge selection of unusual beverages and juices, a bulk food area and salsa and dip bars, and you've got a gourmet, everybody-gets-what-they-want picnic in the making.

Planning Notes

  • Save on the sweets.Let the kids bulk up for dessert; the bulk food and candy area offers sugar-free and regular candies, as well as a variety of trail mixes and other snack foods.
  • Avoid dinner hour! It's a "wear out deal" at the chef's case, as one 11-year-old noted.
