Billy Bob's Texas Description
Take the kids to a honky-tonk? "You betcha, Red Rider." In Texas, honky tonks tend to be family affairs; we've even seen a 10-year old's birthday party (complete with two-stepping) at one. Billy Bob's offers plenty of fun for all ages from the live bull riding to dancing to up-and-coming bands. Dance lessons, a restaurant, ride-the-(fake)-bull photos and just about everything that screams Texas.
Kid Tips
Babies: Skip this one for the youngest children.
Pre-Teens & Teens: There's a video arcade if the kids can't get the hang of the two-step; be sure to call ahead to find out when two-step lessons take place.
Planning Notes
- Pay the price. Even if you're just coming in for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, everyone pays the general admission price at the door. Note: Often, the Stockyards Rodeo ticket stub will get you in the door gratis.
- Worry not. The club does a great job of keeping an eye on unruly patrons in order to keep the atmosphere very family friendly; be assured if there's offensive or lewd behavior going on, they'll step in quickly.
