Review for Queen Anne's Revenge
What we loved:
Good food for grown ups too!
We went to Queen Annes Revenge in early April, 2010 with our 2 and 6 year old girls. We found it on our way to the Boone Hall Plantation which is just a little ways from the restaurant. br/br/The variety and choices on the kids menu were very good, including my kids favorite, chicken tenders. I had the pecan crusted chicken with a cherry demi-glaze and a side of mashed sweet potatoes. Yum! My husband had a fried green tomato BLT with crab meat. Yum! from him too. Creme Brulee for dessert was also tasty. The dish was a little larger in diameter than usual, which meant for lots of surface area on the top for those that like the krispy top of creme brulee. br/br/We did a little lurking about after our meal and found a glass case with a real treasure chest. I believe the proprietress told us that it was from the 1700s and nine years ago when they put it on display the keys still opened and closed the chest! Neat! br/br/It was located adjacent to a Hampton Inn, which we stayed at the following week on our way back through town. Sadly, we got in too late for another meal at Queen Annes Revenge. :-br/br/Please be advised that the magician is no longer performing. Nevertheless, it was a great find.
