Voodoo Doughnut Description
Voodoo boasts its sweet puffs of goodness are "famous for their girth." What more convincing do you need? They certainly are famous in Portland. Founders Kenneth "Cat Daddy" Pogson and Tres Shannon conducted an intensive search for the perfect doughnut recipe, reportedly even testing an early version of a maple bar on actor Brad Pitt. They flew in some "Voodoo oil" from the deep south and experimented until magic was born. These babies are serious -- and unique, from the signature Voodoo Doll doughnut, to the Dirt (covered in glaze and Oreo cookies), to the vegan (yes, a vegan doughnut).

Not family friendly
This shop is right next to a "live sex theater" on Burnside so I dont know if it is as family friendly as the review boasts. Also solicitation of change and food is persistent in this area by members of the homeless community. Its a great experience in culture but not a family outing that I would recommend Read More
