Blue Planet Cafe Description
Offering much more that typical cafe fare, the Blue Planet Cafe features healthy, organic soups, salads, and sandwiches, plus entrees like sesame-crusted ahi tuna for adults; the kids' menu includes hummus and pita chips, fruit salads, and chicken and vegetable kabobs with rice as well as the ever-popular hot dog. Kids will love the brightly colored walls and dinosaur cut-outs that tie in with the museum's collection.
Planning Notes
- Bring or buy. Museum visitors can enjoy food they've brought with them in the small dining room. Grab a table and enjoy the setting -- food and drink aren't permitted in the rest of the museum.
- Eat here, save the planet. The Blue Planet is a "green" cafe. You may not realize that when you're eating your food, but you'll notice it in other ways -- diners eat with real silverware and drinks are served without plastic covers. Even the "throw-away" packaging they serve the food in is biodegradable.
