Polly's Pancake Parlor Description

With 70 years of practice, this mountainside family farm has pancakes down. Top them with real maple syrup (your kids will probably add whip cream and chocolate chips, too) or choose from the rest of the extensive menu of breakfast fare and sandwiches. The gorgeous views of pasture and mountains, generous servings, and friendly, efficient service only add to the charm.

Planning Notes

    • Call ahead for reservations. If it's a holiday or weekend, call 1 hour ahead to put your name on the list. If the wait is long, there are plenty of children's books to borrow and a lawn to romp on to help pass the time.
    • Take a taste of Polly's home. The maple syrup is available for purchase (it can be ordered over the phone and shipped as well).

Just the Facts

Hours: May through October: Daily 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

Fees: Inexpensive

What we loved:
Nicely decorated

What we didn't love:
The price & only 3" pancakes

When you think pancake parlor, you think the best and the biggest pancakes around right? Well according to Pollys...you would be wrong. All pancakes, no matter how many different kinds there are can only be ordered in a 3" size! And if your stomach is empty, you better make sure your wallet is full because its going to take a lot of dough to order enough 3" pancakes to fill you. Very pricey for breakfast, and honestly just a rip off. Ive had better breakfasts and pancakes at little holes in the wall, diners, or truckstops in this state. Check them out instead, youll be pleasantly surprised and still have enough money for lunch. Read More
