Fitz's American Grill & Bottling Works Description

Combine frosty mugs of house-made root beer, cute kids' meals that arrive in paper versions of vintage cars, and a soda bottling factory line in one lively restaurant and you have the perfect recipe for family dining at Fitz's. Burgers and root beer floats rule, but there are many other choices, including toasted ravioli, the local specialty kids crave.

Planning Notes

    • Come early. Fitz's doesn't take reservations and is popular for both lunch and dinner, so plan accordingly.
    • Get up and watch the show. The bottling works is behind glass. Kids love watching the glass bottles being filled with root beer, capped, and labeled.
    • Take it home. Kids can keep the paper autos in which their meals are served; those who finish a float get a refrigerator magnet to take home.
