Rocky's Italian Restaurant Description

Housed in an old feed store, this downtown eatery dishes up basic Italian fare with one outstanding flair: appetizers. Fried zucchini, toasted ravioli, mozzarella sticks, and calamari starters are generous enough for a family to order a few, add a pasta or two, and call it a meal. A large dining area means there's rarely a wait, even at peak hours.

Planning Notes

    • Come hungry. The children's menu features scaled-down versions of mostly pasta dishes, and are larger than typical children's menu portions.

Just the Facts

Hours: Daily 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

What we loved:
Nothing!

What we didn't love:
Everything!

I would not ever go back to this place if it was the only place on the planet with food. Everything that could go wrong went wrong; the waitress only got ONE order of four correct. The hostess told us that everything including the salad and bread was made to order, so we could be picky. When the waitress came she ARGUED with us about the salad until I finally got mad; then she went and came back, telling us that she could fix the salad issue. My husband ordered linguine with white clam sauce; he got linguine with olive oil and clams. Sent that back and it was returned in moments; we think that the kitchen poured white sauce over the olive oil. My order was mixed up with a friend; he started to eat mine before noticing. I gave him my untouched lasagna and asked for a fresh cannelloni; she took the plate back to the kitchen and then returned, telling me they were out. How can a kitchen that claims to prepare everything fresh be OUT of something? Oh and this was early on Sunday night; there was only ONE other party in the restaurant. That should have been our hint, I guess? They deducted my order of fettucini alfredo but we ended up with an almost $60 bill. She received NO tip. There was NO manager on site; I complained to the hostess and promised to let the world know how bad this restaurant is. Read More
