Review for Mall of America
What we loved:
Variety of Activities
What we didn't love:
Crowds
The Mall of America is a constantly changing attraction. New stores move in and out with some regularity so there is almost always something new to see. There are also plenty of stores that target specific ages, such as tween and teen shoppers. It is a good idea to check the Mall website before you visit to see what events might be happening as a big event will fill the mall. There are frequent celebrity appearances, concerts, product launches and charity events held in the Mall. These can bring in thousands of extra people. We often go just for the rides at the Park or to visit the recently 2012 updated aquarium. Both are fairly expensive more than $20 per person for a family, but there are coupons and discounts available. Be sure to find Sharky, the mascot for Sea Life, as he is frequently handing out coupons worth about 50% off admission to the aquarium. Some stores, such as Build A Bear or American Girl Doll can be adventures in themselves. I recommend looking at a map ahead of time and planning your must see stores or attractions. Go early for shopping and late for rides. The crowds are largest between noon and 6:00 p.m.
