This Inn used to be great. It isn't any more. We just went there for our wedding anniversary. They have a Lobster special. 1 1/2 lb. lobster dinner for $29.95. Kind of steep for us, so my parents got us a gift certificate. The small dinner salad was descent which was accompanied by the smallest dinner rolls I have ever seen. Then we get our entree. It looked great. It came with a stalk of broccoli that had been cooked until it was much at the touch of a fork. The baked potato could easily have been made a day or two earlier and just warmed up. I could have lived with all of that, but the lobster. It was the absolute worse I have ever had. I didn't know lobster could be so chewy and rubbery that it can't be chewed up. I actually had to spit most of the tail out because it chewed like gum. I mentioned it to the waitress and she just laughed a dumb laugh and didn't respond at all. When she came back again to ask if we wanted dessert, I told her very bluntly that it was the worse lobster we had ever had and it was horribly chewy. She didn't say a word. She just left and came back with the check. Yes, the check was for the whole amount. No apology, no discounted price, nothing at all. I still can't believe how bad it was. We both left and went to get something to eat at my Moms.
That is absolutely no way to run a business. They should never have charged us anything, and at the very least, we should have been apologized to. I knew it wouldn't be the same without Eddie, but I never expected it to get this bad.
