Dakota Steak House Description

Ask for a family friendly place and locals will lead you here. The busy, log-cabin style eatery appeals to kids, with its hunting-lodge décor, extensive children's menu, overflowing plates, and a fabled Mud Pie for dessert. Adults will appreciate the dozens of steak, seafood, and salad options. Come hungry as the portions are equally huge.

Planning Notes

    • Weekend reservations. Saturday night? Don't even think about coming without a reservation. In July, the restaurant was already taking reservations for September.
    • Walk-in weekdays. Monday through Thursdays are much less crowded, and walk-ins can generally be accommodated, almost always until 5:00.
    • Sunday brunch. The Dakota dishes a sumptuous brunch. Again, reservations are a must.
