Durgin Park Description
One of Boston's oldest restaurants, located right near Quincy Market. The waitresses are friendly but no-nonsense,and the atmosphere is boisterous, kid-friendly, and very Boston. Try their Indian pudding and the beef that's so tender it melts in your mouth.
Planning Notes
- Reservations are a good idea. This place gets pretty jammed, especially during tourist season.
- Go hungry. You'll want to sample the oysters, Boston baked beans (how could you not?), clam chowder, beef, strawberry shortcake, and tasty Indian pudding. So make sure your family's hungry when you get there.
- Go late. If you're traveling with teens or you're night owls, go late and soak up the local Saturday night atmosphere.
