Gibby's Description
Gibby's is basic at its best, serving over-stuffed sandwiches, Italian entrees, piled-high salads, and homemade desserts for lunch and dinner. Try the Gibby's version of the unofficial Kentucky state sandwich, the Hot Brown, an indulgent concoction of turkey, bacon, tomatoes, and cheese prepared open-faced on thick bread, then broiled until the cheese starts to brown.
Planning Notes
- Go early or late. Lunch service is an order-at-the-counter affair, and can get crowded with all the state employees who work in the area. Go at opening or wait until the crowd clears at around 12:30 p.m.
