Grove Cafe at Waimea Brewing Company Description
A brand new restaurant that has a spacious air conditioned dining room with a view of a cocount grove and the ocean beyond, as well as a less formal seating area near the bar cooled by ceiling fans, the Grove Café cooks up an ono ("delicious" in Hawaiian) mixture of Asian cuisines, seafood, and American food with an Hawaiian flare. Wicker chairs, paintings for purchase on the walls, artfully presented food, and bonsai plants on the tables, as well as efficient, friendly table service, make this restaurant an excellent choice for families.
Planning Notes
- Try something new. Kids love the hotdogs but there are also kid-pleasing appetizers like musubi (Japanese rice balls topped with nori and sesame seeds), and you can't leave without trying the Kauai Pie ice cream (made with Kona coffee, macadamia nuts, fudge, and coconut) for dessert.
- A restaurant in a brew pub. If you sit near the bar you will have a view of the inner workings of the brewery with its enormous vats of fermenting beer.
- Reserve to hear the music. There are live performances every Thursday night. Call ahead to book your table.
