The Pirate House Description
"We saw a real pirate. It's true! And he was nice!" said one 3-year-old boy, who decided the Pirate House was the BEST part of his trip to Savannah. This restaurant is any child's dream, with candy in a treasure chest, kids' menus that turn into pirate hats, and a real gold coin. It's also an historic landmark, serving warm meals to seafarers since 1753.
Planning Notes
- Make a reservation. Online or by phone, reservations are welcome.
- Consider combining with a trolley tour. Several trolley companies offer combined ghost tours and dinner at the Pirate House.
- Check out the other rooms. There are 15 dining rooms at the Pirate House, all laden with pirate lore, Savannah history, and pirate paraphernalia. If your kids are antsy (though they won't be because a REAL pirate will come bring them gold coins), check out the maps and lore on the walls.
