Splurge a Little
By chicagogo November 15, 2007 | Evanston, ILLINOIS
What we loved:
Overflowing shrimp cocktail for the kids, sushi station for the adults!
What we didn't love:
Pricey
Whenever we visit Uncle J down in south Florida, we always like to take an opportunity to splurge. Sometimes it's a daylong trip to WDW and letting the kids eat all the junk in those 10 hours they want, but sometimes our trips are more relaxing and go-with-the-flow, and we splurge instead on food. J and his wife took our family to this place in beautiful Coral Gables and we all just loved it. I think my teen appreciated the foodie aspect a bit more wit the adults...SO many options at Sunday brunch...a sushi and meat carving station to die for... but her younger cousins were equally as wowed just by the beauty and class of the place and, oh yeah, the endless shrimp cocktail! The place was a bit pricey, but I really think an occasional splurge is well worth it when you're introducing your kids to new things. And when I can eat sashimi to my heart's delight!Read More
