What we loved:
Great location steps from the beach, great brunch

What we didn't love:
Long wait if you get there during the lunch rush!

Knowing News Cafe was right in the middle of South Beach's action, we decided to take our family here during daylight hours (but it's open 24/7 if you find yourself getting into your hotel too late for a normal restaurant and don't want your toddler to naw on the crayons at Denny's. It's a casual place with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating...the kids chose to sit innside to be nearer the tropical decor, of course. I loved my sandwich, the kids dug into their burgers and we all split an order of berry pancakes. Hubby and I people watched while the kids rave (and still do) about the smoothies yiou coudl order that came in a hollowed out cocounut carved to look like a monkey! OK, it was a pain trying to stuff those monkey heads in their duffle bags for the trip back home, but the kids sure got a kick otu of it.
