Pepe's Cafe Description
Don't be put off by the plain exterior. Tourists and locals alike have flocked to this restaurant since its founding in 1909 for the same reason your kids will love it here: hearty breakfasts; great burgers, chili and grilled cheese for lunch or dinner; and the laid-back Keys atmosphere. Be sure your kids read the menu, as it's filled with historical Keys folklore and recipes of some of Pepe's favorites.

- Arrive early. Whatever meal you're planning to eat here (and they're all good!), you'll want to avoid the inevitable crowd.
- Dine al fresco. If the weather's even halfway decent, ask to sit under the gorgeous banyan tree on the outside patio.
