Queens Lane Coffeehouse Description
A charming historic coffee shop in the heart of Oxford, the Queen's Lane serves scrumptious cream tea (in the afternoons only) with soft delicious scones and real clotted cream. They also have panini, spanikopita, pizza, Middle Eastern dishes, and ice cream served with triangular wafers on a decorated plate.
Planning Notes
- Sit in the back room. Where there are nice wooden tables and lots of loyal patrons. It's cozier and warmer (in the winter) than the tables in the front.
- Go for breakfast. There are lots of breakfast options, from a hearty English style breakfast with eggs, toast, beans, and ham, to a more modest continental meal.
- Try the clotted cream. Some restaurants in Oxford have started substituting packaged butter for homemade clotted cream but not the Queen's Lane.
- Take the bus (back to London). The bus stop for the bus to Heathrow stops right outside.
