Pizza Express Description

On Sherlock Holmes' Baker Street, this airy Pizza Express has a children's menu of baked dough balls, salad, pizza or pasta, dessert, and a bambiccino (steamed milk dusted with chocolate)! Eat pesto chicken, risotto, European-style lasagna, and more under the benevolent eyes of the larger-than-life 19th-century portraits. Part of the Pizza Express mission: To change the mentality that restaurants are just for grown-ups.

Planning Notes

  • Bring cash. Credit cards are accepted but there's an 8 percent charge to use them.
  • Wander downstairs. The bathrooms are in the basement, as are great posters of Sherlock Holmes.
  • Check for coupons on-line. You can get some good deals, which include a meal at Pizza Express and entrance to popular attractions like Madame Toussands.
  • Bring the baby. This restaurant, with its cathedral ceilings and large seating area, has plenty of room for strollers. Highchairs are available upon request, and there is even organic baby food on the menu!
