Phillips Restaurant Description

There are tons of restaurant choices in the Inner Harbor, but if you're in the mood for seafood, head straight to Phillips Seafood. Part of a local chain of restaurants, Phillips is a great place to try the famous Maryland blue crab (in soup, on a sandwich or as a crabcake). Other excellent choices are the fresh fish, the lobster and the oysters. The desserts are good, too — particularly the chocolate cake and the homemade bread pudding. There is a kids' menu with non-fish options and there are a few non-fish options for adults, as well. On some week nights and all weekend, live musicians play modern songs which my kids love singing along to. With its waterfront views, Phillips gets crowded and weekend dinner waits can be long, so if you're anxious to eat, go next door to the faster Phillips Buffet or the even faster Phillips Express. Be sure to check out our other Baltimore vacation ideas.

Planning Notes

  • Fine Family Dining.Phillips is very family friendly with high chairs, booster seats and changing tables in the bathroom. It's a bit pricey, so if you're on a tight budget, you may want to try one of the many other restaurant options in Harborplace or The Gallery.
