Boogie's Diner Description
Kevin Costner lives in Aspen. Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, Jack Nicholson and Oprah Winfrey have owned homes here too. The exceedingly thick-walleted set migrates to Aspen regularly, and as a result, the town offers a wealth of A-list restaurants, complete with 9-course tasting menus, lavish wine lists, and not a kid in sight.
This is why you should hit Boogie's Diner for a meal (or three.) The decor is vivid (lots of pink), the music is festive 1950s (think Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, and Elvis), and the menu is what you're looking for -- burgers, fries, shakes, tuna melts, and everything else a classic American diner is supposed to serve.
Planning Notes
- Join the fan club. Some people swear by the mashed potatoes and gravy.
- Comfort food rules. Boogie's does offer more elaborate entrees -- steaks and fish and so on -- but you can find that anywhere in Aspen. You're best served by sticking with the sandwiches.
- Prepare for a wait. It's a small place, and it can get busy.
