Dusty Boot Description
Beaver Creek, just 10 miles down the highway from Vail, is a cozy resort backed by a mountain, with plenty of activities for families. While it's not exactly dense with restaurants where you'll feel comfortable with a stroller, a diaper bag, and tossing off requests for high chairs, the Dusty Boot will make you feel right at home. Sure, you can drop a bundle on a steak, but you don't have to. Burgers, fries, cheese steaks -- the Boot has them all, with plenty of options for kids, be they 2 years or 16 years old.
Planning Notes
- Explore Beaver Creek. It's a smaller and more exclusive version of Vail. There's also the option of hitting the slopes here, for a change of pace from Vail.
- Stick to burgers. If you're on a budget, ignore the high-priced dinner entrees and go for the burgers, sandwiches, or salads. You won't get any attitude from the wait staff for ignoring the most expensive part of the menu.
- Try the margaritas. They're made with real lime juice instead of syrupy mixes.
- The service is so-so. Sometimes the wait for a waiter, the wait for the meal, and the wait for the check can be irritating. If you're in a big hurry, you should let your server know.
