Le Cochon Dingue Description
The kids learn that the restaurant's name translates to "The Crazy Pig" and laugh at the well-dressed pig statue inside. You'll fall in love with Steak Frites and homemade sauces. Independent kids can choose from their own menu without you worrying about cost: A kid's meal — drink, soup or salad, main and dessert — costs less than $6 each.
Planning Notes
- Reserve a table. A mainstay in Quebec City for decades, the restaurant remains a top pick with locals for lunch. Call ahead for a table out on the patio or to reserve a spot at the back inside (It has a little extra room for toddlers who may need to stretch their legs before you're finished your meal).
- Ask for a kids menu. The coloring book with games and puzzles offers school-age kids a way to pass the time while waiting for their meal.
