Ici Ice Cream Description
Less an ice cream shop than a full-on dessert destination, Ici makes all organic, handmade ice cream, candy, and ice cream-and-pastry concoctions so flavorful and unique, a visit reminds you of finding that amazing patisserie in Paris or Milan. Be prepared for big eyes and begging though; my tactic is to set limits before we arrive so I don't hear "pleeeasssssse"as they gaze at the homemade marshmallows and chocolates eye-catchingly displayed on the counter. Kids will be thrilled with scoops and toppings, but you may be tempted to take home a "bombe" 7#8212; one of Ici's signature ice cream and cake concoctions such as Baked Alaska, or some of their "bites" which are gourmet ice cream sandwiches in flavors like lemon-ginger-mint on gingerbread. Planning Notes
- Beware the crowds: On warm days, don't expect a quick stop; the line can go down the block. But take turns holding a place in line, while others poke around the cute shops on either side.
