Zachary's Chicago Pizza Description
Ask a kid in Berkeley who has the best pizza and Zachary's will be the name you hear, no matter what age, gender, neighborhood or school defines the speaker. But that doesn't mean a fight won't break out — everyone has their favorite combination. (Ours is the stuffed Mediterranean.) Unless you're a thin pizza fanatic, go for the "stuffed," which is Zachary's lingo for deep dish Chicago style. But at Zachary's, "deep" really means deep; with as much as two or three inches of filling, some combos are closer to a casserole than a cracker. - Take it to go: We stopped at Zachary's on our way up to Tilden Park and picked up a deep dish pie for an easy picnic. There is a second location on College Avenue over the Oakland border.
