The Beach Club Cafe Description
At first glace, the gorgeous beachside setting and pristine white decor might make the Beach Club seem a bit upscale for a family meal, but the relaxed atmosphere and friendly, young wait staff more than put you at ease. The fresh, grilled fish and international dishes such as ceviche are the specialty here, but there are delicious pizzas, pasta dishes, and salads as well.
Planning Notes
- Taxi tip. If you're taking a cab and the driver doesn't know where the restaurant is, tell him you're going to the Poop Deck (the other Poop Deck, in Sandyport), which is right next door and better known.
- Family-friendly, with limits. Although kids are welcome, it's best for older kids; it's too fancy for toddlers.
- Nice for a date night. This is a great place for mom and dad to have a romantic night out. The mojitos and other cocktails are to die for, but so fresh and handmade that they take a long time to come, so order as soon as you arrive.
- Fish on the grill. On Sundays in high season they have a fantastic beach barbecue.

Reviews of The Beach Club Cafe
Not worth the trouble

What we loved:
It was hard to love
What we didn't love:
The service and atmosphere
Six of us went for dinner. We were well dressed and eager for some pizza. The haughty Maitre D signaled to the waiter that we could not order pizza. We were told they were out. Subsequent tables ordered and received pizzas with no problem during the entire evening. We could only guess that they were trying to force us into ordering more expensive entrees.br/br/The staff rudely ogled the females in our party - up and down. But when it came time to order or refill drinks, we could not get anyones attention even as the staff walked right by us. It was humiliating. This was a real disappointment after the friendly interaction that we had with staff at every other restaurant we visited on the island. We are extremely easy to please. br/br/The atmosphere was "insiders only" where the owner and his girlfriend and their clique got drooled over by the staff while drop-in guests could not get the time of day. Good for the owner, bad for his clients. We will not return to the Beach Club Cafe; there are too many good restaurants to enjoy before we subject ourselves to this arrogant abuse.br/br/I hope the staff finds this input beneficial.
