Downtown Anchorage Description
If you need it, you'll find it in downtown Anchorage, a shopper's mecca that boasts everything from locally mined gold flakes to caps and T-shirts to Native Alaskan art. Souvenir stores anchor every corner, with art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants lining the streets. Hit the Fourth Avenue Marketplace for native art, or Kobuk Coffee Company for coffee, candy, and collectibles. Give the kids their own money and let them shop for themselves in one of the many huge souvenir shops. Hungry? Family friendly coffee shops and restaurants are everywhere.
Kid Tips

Pre-Teens & Teens: Head to Once in a Blue Moose at Fourth Avenue and F Street. They'll find lots of great caps, T-shirts, and other clothing, plus goodies like keychains and blank notebooks.
