Oops, what happen to our snow coach!

by celestial7a February 22, 2008

Yellowstone mishap

So we are traveling through Yellowstone park in our funky snow coach that has giant skis on the front and big treads on the back for driving across the park in the winter time. We've seen bison, wolves, deer, amazing scenery and watched old faithful blow it's top. Now on our way back to the entrance and our car, flying down the roadway at about 25 miles an hour, suddenly we hear a loud pop and come bumping and bouncing to a stop. Lo and behold, our snow coach popped a tread and was sitting flat on the ground stranding us in the middle of the park. Luckily, they said this happens all of the time and another coach came and brought us to the hot chocolate shack where we waited yet another coach to return us to our car. Our 6 year old son was mesmerized by the broken tread and kept the bolt that apparently shredded in half causing our predicament. It was the best story of the trip.
