Buffalo in Yellowstone
We were leaving Yellowstone Park and our son, who was 9 at the time was crying saying that this was the best vacation ever, he didn't want to leave because he would miss seeing all the wildlife that we had seen up close and personal, like the buffalo that came within 50 feet of us and we had to stand still until they walked by. It was a group of mommas and their young and we were on one of the walking paths looking at the geysers. At this time is was the end of a two week driving vacation through the Black Hills and Yellowstone and we didn't hit any amusement parks this trip (and oh how they love their rollercoasters). Yeah, mother nature. This year we plan on taking another trip to see more mother nature in California. Our boys actually requested going to see the giant redwood and sequoia trees (and of course Disneyland).
