Bear hunting in Tennessee

by teddybare812 August 06, 2008

In 1990, we took my son to Tennessee. I can still remember how excited he was. There is nothing to compare to the expressions on your childs face when he is experiencing new and different places. Anyway, he couldn't wait to get his first glimpse of a live bear, because he loved the movies about Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett. Saw first off, we went to a store and purchased him a little play rifle. We spent the whole day looking for a bear, but ended up having to go to a place where they had bears in captivity. It didn't matter to him, he was so happy just to get to see one. I took so many pictures of him that day of him with his little rifle, saying he was "bar hunting", lol. He pronounced it just like Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett.
