The took our first family vacation in March of 2006 when the kids then ages 13 and 5 were on spring break. We took off to the mountains of Tennessee. We stayed in Gatlinburg for 3 days and 2 nights. We went to the aquarium, played putt-putt golf, other local attractions, dinner shows, swimming etc. Our family had the best time. We had planned to take another family vacation, but in June of 2006 we found out my husband had brain cancer. The surgery and chemo treatments slow us down for a year or so and we just have not been able to get away for the NEXT FAMILY VACATION!
