Mahler's at Mount Rushmore!
My husband and I thought it was extremely important for our three children ages 9,7, and 3 to experience the beauty that can be found in our wonderful country at our National parks and landmarks. Last summer, within hours of school ending, our family- which included my husband and I, 3 kids and two grandparents loaded up into the RV for a 10 day roundtrip from Southern California to South Dakota. Along the way, we made stops at the beautiful Bryce Canyons in Utah, visited Wild Bill in Wyoming, camped in Yellowstone National Park and visited Old Faithful, saw the most beautiful and exquisite wildlife only possible here, and watched our childrens faces light up in awe as we viewed the Mount Rushmore Monument at sunset. This was truly the most memorable family vacation we have ever had. It was a vacation free from the distractions of every day life! No tv, no video games, no phone calls or computers, but one filled with many game nights, campfires and smores, swimming, hiking and most importantly- spending quality time with the ones we love the most!
