My husband and I have a job that most people envy, but unfortunately, it keeps us from a proper â¬Ssummerâ¬ý vacation. We own a seasonal business and because of our unusual work schedules any time we have two or more days off in a row it is truly a vacation. During this precious time off, we love to take our son out and teach him how to appreciate the unexpected gift of the surrounding areas. We hike in the mountains or kayak on the lake. I love this picture of my son fly-fishing on the river during some rare family time away last summer. You can just see the joy on his face for having caught a fish all by himself. He still gets excited at the thought of fishing with his parents. It is that kind of love, of the outdoors and of adventure, that I hope we can continue to instill in him and he keeps for the rest of his life.
