Favorite Vacation Moment

Sitting on the Dock

During the summer of 2007, I took my children to see their aunts and uncles in Minnesota. We went to my sister's lakeside cabin in Northern Minnesota and my 10 and 8 year old children fished for the first time. The line would be in the water for less than 30 seconds and they would get a bite. The excitement they had was so enjoyable. None of the fish were "keepers" but they must have hooked over 50 fish between them. And then the fish stories came - my son's catch of an 8 inch bass turned into the Catch of the Century! It was a memory maker for all of us and I am sure a story-telling moment for future generations.
