Sleeping Bear Dunes, Michigan

One of my most memorable moments is on a road trip we took in 2006. We went to Mackinac Island first, then stayed a few days with friends who have a cottage on Lake Huron, and then the last part of our trip we visited Sleeping Bear Dunes on Lake Michigan. After taking a scenic drive and stopping a few times to get out and enjoy the view, my son, age 6 at the time, simply stated "Haven't we seen enough sand, rocks and trees yet." This really made me laugh. He also lost two teeth on this trip.
