Ocean City, Maryland We just got home from a great four day family getaway. The last week of August is an AWESOME time to visit, crowds and rates are super low. We were able to stay in a Ocean Front room for less than $90. a night. We like to stay at the end of the Boardwalk around 28th Street. Close to everything we like to do, 22nd St., Fish Tales our favorite place to eat. Great food, fun atmosphere, has a fenced in play area for the kids. On the bay side great for sunsets. http://www.ocfishtales.com/ . 30th St., Jolly Rogers Splash Mt Water park. http://www.jollyrogerpark.com/parks_splash.php Beach, Boardwalk, Mini Golf and Amusements.. The Beach is super clean and requires no beach tags. The kids had a great time surfing early in the morning and playing on the beach. The evening we would walk to diner, play mini golf or shop. The Boardwalk tram is $3. each way or we would us the bus $2. for ALL day. A great place to eat breakfast at Bayside Skillet, 77th st. A littele out of the way but, worth the trip for omelettes and crepes and fresh juices.. http://www.baysideskillet.com/ For our "Special" night out we when to Sakura. A Japanese Steak & Seafood Hibachi Restaurant. http://sakurasteakhouse.com/index.html Truly the BEST Hibachi Restaurant. Of course the staff is friendly and the cooks put on a super show of their culinary skills. The meal was so savory. Many times we get so couch up in the show the food is forgotten, this meal was unforgeable. Fresh and Yummy!
