Being a stepmother is never easy. We only have every other weekend to encourage, support, teach and grow two wonderful tweens into outstanding adults. We make the most of every minute and try to foster childhood memories at every turn. Because of this, itâ¬"s hard to choose only one memory, trip or photo to share. br/br/There was Wildlife Prairie State Park where they saw bison, bobcats and wolves up close and where our â¬Üroomâ¬" was a converted caboose; the look of awe as they entered the new Busch Stadium in its inaugural year; the traditional 4th of July fireworks; the excitement as we wait to ride the fastest roller coaster at Six Flags; taking their picture at the local pumpkin patch to determine â¬SHow tall this Fallâ¬ý; and their determination to never miss the annual Christmas ornament craft day at the nature center.br/br/Being on a tight budget, we try to make everyday activities into lasting memories. Even when the weekend doesnâ¬"t include a destination, we make sure that Saturday night is game night, our home is comforting and that they are our focus from the time they arrive until they look back and say, â¬SSee you in two weeks!â¬ýbr/
