Space Mountain or Mole Hill?

We did it! Can you?

The mountain stood before us. My wife and I had ridden before, but this would be the first time Seth (6) and Ally (4) could possibly join us. <br/><br/>Gamma had come for this. When one was unable to muster enough courage, she stayed behind with them. However, Gamma was alone as we approached Space Mountain, but we were confident that Ally would change her mind and scamper back.<br/><br/>As parents, we weren't entirely sure Ally was ready for this ride. Our genes run long, though, and our princess passed the height minimums. She was ready... we werenâ¬"t.<br/><br/>As we moved inside, we felt the darkness would change Ally's mind. It didnâ¬"t. We considered a parental overrule. We tried to talk her INTO being afraid. Nothing worked.<br/><br/>Then we realized there was only one rider to a seat! She CANNOT do this! The excitement on her face, though, displayed pure joy. No fear at all. It seems we're doing this.<br/><br/>The ride came and went then Mommy and Daddy unbuckled with lightning speed, formulating comforting words, but Allyâ¬"s face was all dimples and teeth. With a wide smile she squealed, "Let's do it AGAIN!" <br/><br/>Then more fun! We emerged outside to reunite with Gamma. Ally was in my arms, lying limply on my chest, head buried in my neck, legs dangling lifelessly. Gamma gasped, fearing her granddaughter distraught. Then Ally whirled around and screamed "I LIKED it, Gamma!" Giggles rained down. Scaring Gamma was as fun as the ride itself. Now letâ¬"s ride again!<br/>
