She Thought She Saw Me Fly Off the Ride

Making My Disney Reservations

Each year growing up, my family would return to Disney World; and the year when I turned 7 and was finally big enough to ride Space Mountain, my mother decided that she would also be brave enough to ride as well. We all loaded into the seats; and I chose to sit with my sister a few cars ahead of my mother. We took off and the ride was a blast--we were screaming and laughing--and we were just enjoying the climbs, drops, twists and turns. When we returned to base, the ride was stalled for more than 10 minutes because my mother was crying and screaming that she saw me fly off of the ride; and even after she saw me, she was still upset. It turns out that the sight of me flying off the ride made my mom tinkle on herself.

I grew up with Disney, as we counted the days for our next annual trip there. I still share those memories with my kids today as we vacation with Disney each year.
