Chef Mickey signing our Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs book

by mvmarcz February 22, 2008 | Lake Charles, Louisiana

Chef Mickey giving his John Hancock while I wait with the other two books.

Our last trip to Walt Disney World resort had many wonderful memories, from meeting Kim Possible, to sharing the experience of my niece's first Disney trip, all the way to the end with the almost traditional "packing the car with more souvenirs than there is room for". While there we decided to purchase copies of the Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs cookbook for our whole group. There were three books purchased, one for my husband and myself (the trip was also our belated honeymoon), one for my Sister-in-Law, and one for my In-Laws. After my husband bought the books I had the greatest idea: we had breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey's later in our stay and I thought it would be great to have Chef Mickey himself autograph the books for us. On the day of we brought the books with us to the restaurant and during the character breakfast when Chef Mickey made it over to our table, and after signing our 1 year old niece's autograph book and posing for a few pictures, we asked if he would be so kind as to sign our books. He kindly obliged as we continued to produce all three books. We are all now proud owners of some very nice authentic Chef Mickey Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs cookbooks. The whole experience was wonderful and the breakfast was pretty good too!
