Awesome Everest

AAAAAHHHHH!!! The Yeti!
What a gorgeous day to be scared silly! It was Laurens 9th birthday and we were having a great day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. We had just won a Fast Pass for each of us during the Year of a Million Dreams contest for 2007. The four of us were ready for more excitement. Lauren being 9 and Ashley 6, we were unsure about taking them on Expedition Everest, but they wanted to try it. So through the Fast Pass line we went. The girls were nervous and had a great deal of questions about the Yeti! We told them what to expect on the ride and said that they could close their eyes if they were too scared.
Off we went! It was thrilling! Falling backwards into the cave where the Yeti waited and getting dropped down the mountain where almost too much for Ashley. She screamed the whole way. After I unclenched her tight grip on my hand, we made our way into the shop to look at the cute white Yeti toys. Ashley and Lauren both were jumpnig up and down and screaming things about the ride of their life! Ashley, almost crying, yelled "Mommy! Why did you take me on that ride? Lets do it again!" We couldn't stop laughing! Using mommy and daddy judgement, we didn't ride Everest again that day. But we had an awsome birthday with the rest of the best of Animal Kingdom.
