Walt Disney World

Magic on Mainstreet

Main Attraction on Main Street

Traveling south through Georgia and Florida to Walt Disney World was a trip that my husband looked forward to once every ten years since he was 8. In 1976 his family traveled there for the first time and returned again when he was 18. We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary there ten years later. It only made since that once he turned 38 we should take our own two girls, Channing, 5, and Landry Kate, 3. Sure they were excited about the trip but no one could have predicted what was to come. Our first day we arrived at Magic Kingdom for its opening, rounded the turnstiles in Cinderellas finest, made our way through the tunnel to the head of Main Street. The girls stood there awe struck at Cinderellas castle. They were shaking, the daddy was grinning from ear to ear and not even I could believe the tears in my eyes. Dreams were coming true right before us and this magical moment on Main Street will forever be one of our very favorite vacation memories. Two girls walking through their beloved storybooks among Princesses and Magical Mice!
