The bird on the rock - in my eyes - my father

Flash back to Dec of 2004 my fiance at the time, my daughter, nephew, and I had went to visit my father where he lived in Bradenton, Florida. He had taken us to a restaurant on Anna Maria Island called The BeachHouse. A beachside restaurant with great food. Although, it's difficult to eat outside as the birds like to eat the fries. Which my father showed us as he fed the birds the fries at my nephews feet so he could watch them.

Sept 4th, 2005 I was 6 months pregnant and my father was killed in a motorcycle accident.

February 26th, 2006 my now husband and I were married on Anna Maria Island at the very restaurant that my father had taken us to last. Being one of the best moments in my life, like all woman I wanted to have my father there not to mention the fact that my father had never met my son, so this brought me a little down on the day of my wedding. Well, the night before I did a little praying to god and talking to my father. About 5 minutes before the ceremony we noticed a bird had flew in and landed on a rock and watched us intently as if viewing what was going on. That bird sat perched on the rock throughout the entire ceremony up until about five minutes after "you may kiss the bride". The bird watched and did not move as if he was there for a reason. To this day I still believe that the bird was my dads way of saying he was there and he knew I was getting married and he had met my son. I have a picture of the bird in a wedding collage that is on my wall that was made by my mother. This was one of my favorite vacation moments.
