First Time at the Beach

While visiting some friends in Florida, we decided to take my 2 year old son, Matthew, to see the ocean for the first time. It was too cold to go in the water or spend the day on the beach, but we thought it would be nice to walk on the sand for a bit. I will never forget the joy and wonder in Matthewâ¬"s face the moment he saw the ocean for the first time. We took off our shoes and went to the edge of the water. We would lift him up over the waves as they crashed over his feet. His laughter was like the music of angels filling the heavens and it is a memory I hold precious in my heart.
