The love boat-exciting and new-come aboard-we're EXPECTING you

My wife and I were married on 9/11/82. We had a nighttime wedding in MA and checked in at a Bradley airport hotel about 1:00 AM. We put in for a 5:30 wake-up call for our early morning flight. We NEVER got our call. Our ship was leaving Miami at 4:00 and we had to connect in Atl and got to Miami at 3:45. We didn't wait for our luggage. We got a taxi. As we turned into port, we looked on as our ship was moving. We MISSED the boat!! Needless to say we were upset. We had no idea what to do. A cruise line worker told us we would have to fly to Santo Domingo and meet up with the boat at its first stop in Samana. We flew to Santo Domingo and had to call for transportation beacause from our hotel to port was a 4 1/2 hour car ride. We did meet up with boat but the start of our marriage was emotional. Last September we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary!!

That Christmas of 1982 we received 5 alarm clocks for presents. We can look back now and laugh.
