One year I decided to go on a trip to Florida. I left Ohio and stopped in West Virginia to pick up my Sister Margie. We went to Yulee, Florida to see our other Sister, Michelle.....alias child nickname of Mickey. On this trip I learned alot about my Sisters and their families. We had no schedules or set things to see. We did enjoy the Jacksonville zoo and it was easy to find. A plus, at our age, when it is getting hard to read small map lettering. We are of the age to enjoy senior discounts.

But the day I remember the most, is the day we spent five hours wandering the beach. It was fun to just watch the little birds run in the water and run from the waves. I noticed my Sister Margie was getting pink, so I gave her one of my large sun hats to cover her head. The waterway was being dredged and there were lots of shark teeth to find. I watched my Sister Margie with her pants rolled up, sun hat on head and a huge smile on her face. Lost in the wonder of finding the BIG shark tooth treasure. There Margie was, sifting through sand and covered in the stuff, but happy. I was lost in seeing my big Sis lost in time and back to a child status. We were Sisters in youth and in life. Before the day was done, we all had bags of shark teeth to take home and share.

The trip was special, because we shared our lives. Memories of my sisters and I, play like a wonderful movie in my head. Those memories are what I treasure.
