In 2003, we inherited a house and had to finish remodeling our current home before selling. The renovations werenâ¬"t completed till 2004; the house didnâ¬"t sell till 2005. We were on the verge of bankruptcy. Our five children gave up extra activities and new clothes to help out. We promised them a vacation when we sold. When that day came, we decided to plan a surprise Disney Cruise and visit to Disneyworld for 2006!

We stayed near Kennedy Space Center. We visited NASA, and I â¬Sworkedâ¬ý in the evening as on previous business trips. The next day, I told my family I learned the job was postponed. I told the children we would stop at Port Canaveral on the way home to watch a rocket launch. The excitement in the adults built as we approached the port. Our oldest, the first to see the ship, said, â¬SIs that Disneyâ¬"s ship? I have to get a picture; Iâ¬"ll never get this close again!â¬ý Our daughter said â¬SI wish we could go on that.â¬ý My wife couldnâ¬"t hold back any longer. Pulling out tickets, she said â¬SYou can only go on a cruise with these!â¬ý
