Favorite Vacation Moment

A funny step back in time

Myself, my husband and our two kid's were on our way to Florida in July 2007. We stopped for gas in SC and as we pulled into this outdated looking gas station I asked my husband was he sure if was even open. Both my kids looked around as if it was something they had never seen before ( actually it was). So the three of us are in the car while my husband goes in to pay and all of the sudden the whole face cover of the gas pump falls off. My son, who's window was right next to it, bust out laughing and say's it so old it's falling apart. My daughter and I start cracking up and my husband comes back to the car and see's it laying on the ground and asks us what happened. We told him and he started laughing. To this day, my kids still talk about it and they actually remember more detail about that part of the drive down then they do of other things that happened on the way to Florida.
